The “CO-OP” STORE was incorporated in 1920 by the
Executive Council of the Associated Students of the Uni
versity of Oregon for the purpose of establishing a con
venient and economical depot for the handling of text
books and other necessary student supplies. For seven
teen years this task has been faithfully performed by the
“CO-OP.” It is owned exclusively by the students of the
University.
Tte "CO-OP”
There are two separate corporations on the campus, both
owned by the students. The “CO-OP” is the merchandising
concern. Tthe other corporation is the “ASSOCIATED
STUDENTS” which manages and controls all intercol
legiate athletics as well as all intellectual activities such
as publications, lectures, concerts, etc. in which the entire
student body as a whole may participate.
