Miller of Laic Staff Hails From St. Paul At 10:30 o'clock yesterday ; morning Vernon X. Miller, latest I addition to the staff of the law I school, was at a radio. But the radio itself was not the attraction ; No, Miller is a ball fan, and the world series was the reason. He hails from* one of the Twin Cities of Minnesota. You are wel come to guess which, but it is not |—(if you guess wrong he will | point out the biggest type on a map of Minnesota)—it is not Min [ r.eapolis! In fact, he is so extremely proud j of St. Paul that his chief excuse for spending his summers in Min nesota is that he can't miss the [ “Saints” games—the “Saints,” of | course, being St. Paul's baseball j team. While he is most partial to base | ball, Miller is also fond of foot ball, and watched with interest the last two years of Dr. Spears’ career at the University of Min nesota. “Dr. Spears is a hard driver," he said yesterday, “and the tem peramental ones among the ath letes may think they don’t like him, but he'll certainly teach them football.” Associate Professor Miller has been in Eugene just two weeks. | having come from the St. Thomas | College of Law at St. Paul, where , he served as professor. He is un I married. I Business Ad School Has New Instructors Several additions have been made to the staff of the school of business administration, according tc Dean Faville. Harry S.
