“Chasing Rainbows”
Bessie Love, personality girl of
"Broadway Melody,” has lost none
of her winsomeness in “Chasing
Rainbows” in which she and Char
lie King share stellar honors.
King’s voice and Bessie’s smile are
a wonderful combination and the
technicolor scenes defy descrip
tion.
“South Seu Rose”
Lenore Ulric has to change tem
perature often. Not long ago she
played in “Frozen Justice,” an
Alaskan thriller and now she is
back at the Rex again as a South
Sea beauty.
“Blackmail”
Intimate glimpses into the ways
and talk of Scotland Yard are
given in “Blackmail,” the first all
talking picture made in England.
Anny Ondra, the heroine, is a
Czecho-Slovakian beauty of much
popularity in England.
“Ed’s Co-ed”
We all know the nice things
about this picture.
“Isle of Lost Ships”
Virginia Valli plays a lady Rob
inson Crusoe in this very unusual
play. However, she is not really
alone, there being quite a number
of men on the island also.
Advanced Clogging
Class Will Organize
Advanced students in clogging
or tap dancing will try out for
the Modern Clogging group, a re
cently organized group on this
campus composed of the most ad
vanced doggers and tap dancers,
at 7:45 this evening in the gym
of Gerlinger hall.
Anyone on the campus may try
out for the club, providing she

Soph Girls Defeat
Seniors in Hoop Tilt
The sophomore team emerged
victorious over the seniors in the
basketball game last evening by
only one point, 27-26. It was hard
fought throughout the entire
game, but particularly during the
last half. The lead see-sawed back
and forth, and was close all the

The sophomores are now in the
lead for the championship, having
defeated the seniors twice, and
won over the frosh and junior
first teams, and the sophomore
second team. They have lost only
one game, and that to the juniors.
In the other game played last
time. Vivian Coss was the star
night, the junior second team de
feated the senior second, 16-5. The
sophomore second team won by
default from the frosh third team.
Since spring has cast its balmy
spell over the Yale campus, top
spinning, roller skating, and horse
shoe pitching have come into their
place as student pastimes, says a
news bulletin.
