The Alaskan trip, which is to tie:

of the United States.
The extension division has re

following states: Oregon, California,
Washington, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana,'
Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota,
Texas, Wisconsin, ami Wyoming.
In addition to the many letters
inquiring about the trip a great
many reservations have been made,
with indications that the boat will l
be filled by April 1, which is the;
last date reservations may he made.

in the school of sociology, is deliver- 1
ing addresses to chambers of com- j
inerce in Oregon and is submitting
questionnaires to leading business
and professional men and women in
the state, particularly those who i
are members of chambers of com
merce and service clubs, t i supply '
data for his master’s thesis. The
), ipuse of the survey is to investi
gate opinion with reference to basic :
social and economic developments,
and the effect of these on social
thought, social institutions, social
control, and higher education.
In addition to between 3,000 and
1,000 questionnaires which have been
mailed over the state, Brown spoke [
in the MdMilinville chamber of j
commerce at its weekly luncheon
in February IS on “The Study of j
Social Science and the Student ’s !
