Seniors Entertain
Royalty at Ball
In a true atmosphere of elegance,
combining French skill and artistry
with modern talent, the annual sen
^ ior “Bal de 1 ’elegance”, given by the
senior class of 1928, Saturday even
ing, February 18, fittingly crowned
the list of achievements of this
class and became the prime social
success of this year.
Black and white carried out the
French motif to detail, a huge dec
orative arch covered one end of the
ballroom, where the feature appear
ed, another arch made a background
for the orchestra platform, and
around the room black and white
walls carried out the dignified for
mal ballroom effect to perfection.
Clusters of various colored lights
were suspended from the ceiling, and
different colored spot lights flashed
intermittently on the dancers.
The dance program, following the
decorative scheme in a conventional
cover design in black and white,
listed the-menu, the patrons and the
patronnesses, and the dances. In
the sun parlor, adjoining the ball
room, French pastry, daintily color
ed mints and coffee were served by
neatly dressed maids during the
evening.

Richmond, Va.
Gentlemen:
Two years ago my wife gave me an
expensive pipe. I smoked it a great
deal for two,.or thrpe weeks, pnt it psi.de,
then began smoking tit again
time it was very strong. Veterans told
me that it. had been smoked too hard
for anew pipe and should be put away.
The pipe was laid away again. A
short time ago I got it out and smoked
one of the common brands of tobacco
in it. The results were disappointing.
I told the druggist of my experience
with it. He asked if I had tried Edge
worth. I told him I never had. I fol
lowed hi3 suggestion, and I am honest
when I' say that it has restored the
sweetness to the pipe, and has made
me wonder. Was it the pipe or the
brand of tobacco that .caused me to
lay it away for the long period of time?
As a novice, I prefer Edgeworth. I
am going to stick to it, as I feel satisj
fied that there is none better on the
market.
Sincerely yours,
