south end of the Oregon section.
They will be admitted to the sec
tion any time after 1:30 p. in. No
one will be admitted to the rooter
section until the band and serpen
tine have reached the field. Ore
gon knights will be bn duty at the
field to see that this rule is en
forced. No Oregon rooter who is
minus a rooter’s-hat will be per
mitted in the section. This is final,
and freshmen, as well as seniors
will be treated the same on this
matter, said yell king Fred Mar
tin.
Start At Imperial Hotel
The serpentine that will start
from the Imperial hotel at 1:30 p.
m. Saturday, will in all probability
be headed by Mayor George Baker.
The band will be in front of the
Imperial at 1:15 and the rooters
should also be there at this time,
so that there will be no delay.
Freshmen on the campus may dis
card their green caps today in favor
of rooter lids—This permission ex
tends over the week-end.
The committee in charge ef
checking baggage is asked to re
port at the S. P. tracks back of
Villard hall not later than 2:45 p.
m. today.
Box lunches will be sold on the
train today, making it possible for
all students to eat before arriving
in Portland.

A to Z. The California quarters
are not exceptional for they have
pulled some of the biggest boners
in games past of which football
men might be guilty. They have
had exceptional support from the
line.
Beryl Hodgen at fullback is new
and comparatively inexperienced.
He is the only -won-veteran on the
team. He has been going good in
practice and with his 180 pounds
he should prove a good man in
backing up the lino, as well as in
plunging. Lynn Jones, stellar vot
ernn of last year, will probably
get into the game in spite of his
injured hand. One hundred eighty
five pounds of drive and an experi
enced plunger, he is the most valu
able man on the backfield.

far. Tie is getting them off in
good style and mnch faster than
ever before. Fred Harrison hasn’t
had the opportunity to show his
kicking ability in a game but his
practice kicks are long and beauti
ful. It, is likely that the team will
use his educated toe in the game
Saturday.
These are the facts. The teams
are entering the tenth game just
about on a par.

Last Workout Tonight
The new attack of the varsity
will be launched on Multnomah

With veterans, and plenty of re-.

the men to come through. The fol-!

it, and everyone is primed for the
clash and victory.
This afternoon the varsity leaves
