DOUGHNUT LEAGUE TITLE AGAIN WON BY FRIENDLY Bachelordon Humbled by Hall Men in Titular Game Friendly hall, champions of the doughnut baseball league last year, yesterday afternoon put the skids un der the titular hopes of the Bachelor don nine by snowing the boys from across the millrace under a storm of 16 runs, and for the second consecutive year won a doughnut trophy, a silver oving cup which, like that of last year, will soon decorate the mantle of the dorm fireplace. The score at the end of the ninth canto stood 16 to 8. Tim Saucer, speedy twirler for the hall men, relieved Judge in the sixth and from then until the end of the diamond melee for University honors, the Friendly lad whiffed them over the plate in a cloud of obscurity. In three innings Saucer sent eight men mean dering to the Bachelordon bench by the strike-out route. Joe Olsen re ceived for both Judge and Saucer. , The Bachelordon players had an off day yesterday and several of their eight counters were annexed through errors by the Friendly men. Myers started the game in the box, but was relieved when the hall players began planting his offerings out in the scen ery adjacent to the graveyard. He was relieved by Hal Kelly, who proved to be a bit wild. Garner received for the Bachelors. The two home runs of the game were slammed out into the tall uncut by Hoskins and Goodell, Friendly men. Up until yesterday evening, both Friendly and Bachelordon had lost one game, their opening contests. Friendly lost to the Fijis and Bachelordon to the Phi Delts.
