Preppers, you are Oregon guests today. \ou are to find, before you leave, just '"'hy every one thinks this campus the best place in the state, even though many are not permitted by the business office to hang around. Many of you are coming back to serve a four year term next fall. You’ll never regret it. However, we will tell you that you’ll never regret knowing all the Oregon tra ditions. That’s one of the best parts of school life. So here they are, the best of them: 1— OBAK S is the place of rest and refreshment for the real college man. 2— Smoking on the campus is consid ered quite the thing—as a means of publicity. 3— If pledged by any representative campus organization, such as the School of Commerce or the CO-OP, it is tradi tional not to speak to loudly of it; some one might think you believed all that they had told you. 4— Always speak to your friends, something like: “Hello Bill! H’ are-yef See you at OBAK’S to-night.” 5— Bill Hayward, Dean Straub and the Pioneer are traditions on the campus too. benig the eldest boys around, so respect them as such. 6— It is traditional to watch the moon rise from the grand stand and also to study nature in the cemetery.
