PRACTICE FOR SWIMMING MEETS TO START SOON Each Girl Limited to Two Events and Relay Team Now that the classes in gymnastics have begun thus leaving the swimming pool free, Miss Winslow announces that it will be open every afternoon for those who wish to practice for house, class, or varsity teams and she urges all girls who hope to make places on the teany to begin regular practice immediately. Groups of girls .may also go in during the day, provided thgre is a qualified life swimmer among them. The meets this year will be con ducted on a little different basis than formerly. In order to make possible a more evenly matched contest so that one girl who excells in a number of events may not make a team by her self, each entry will be limited to two events and a relay team. This will give the houses who have a large num- \ ber of swimmers an even chance with those who have an expert. The aim of the meets will be team competition rather than <ndividual. Among the freshmen Miss Winslow1 has found a number of girls who with practice will work up well for speed and diving and she thinks it behooves the older girls to look well to their; laurals. There will be instruction for 1 beginners as well as those who are \ working on particular events and spec ial classes for those who wish to qnali- j fy for the Bed Cross lifo saving test.; All girls who swim must have a medi-j cal O. K. from Dr. Stewart which must be presented at the desk together with j the receipt for their locker fee when they call for their snit and towel. I _ ORDER OF ‘O’ WILL GATHER (Continned from page one) ial section of seats is to be reserved for them. In the evening they will throw their dignity to the winds, and permit them selves to be overcome by the spirit of Tersischore, for they will be just stu dents and alumni having the time of their life at the Homocoming dance.
