JUNIOR WEEK-END FUN
WILL BE WELL FILMED
Thirteen Hundred Feet of Pictures to Be
Taken; Tug-of-War and Track
Meet Included.
Thirteen hundred fpet of motion pic
ture film will be devoted to Junior Week
end stunts this year, according to Alfred
Powers, picture expert for the Univer
sity. Tip until this time, Mr. Powers
has devoted a great part of his time to
s'tereopticon slides, but he is one of the
heads of the movement for filming Ore
gon fun, May IS, 19, 20. Bill- Hayward’s
lantern, which traveled to the Olympic
games last summer with such good re
sults, will be used in filming the campus
and cainpusites this spring.
In order that the highest talent in the
picture line should be used, to guard
against spoiling the film, Lew Tyrrell,
who is an experienced operator, and who
was on the campus last term, has been
persuaded to run the machine. The de
veloping will be done either in Portland
or in Chicago, said Mr. Powers.
The “campus film directors” will con
centrate on action, scenes mainly, it is
declared, and not on scenery, although
this will be considered to some extent
As the plans stand at this early date,
they expect to get the tug-of-war over
the race, several hundred feet of track
meet, pictures, campus clean-up scenes
and perhaps a few pictures of frosh at
(lie “O” on Skinner’s Butte.

It Pays to Buy Meat
-- Now and then you will see an announcement that a certain
kind ot lood is ol more nourishing value than so much meat.
1 hat may be so, but if you had to eat that as much as you ha
meat, it would surely get tiresome. Meat is practically the only
ood that has high nourishing value that can be eaten every day
and not become tiresome.
