    U, C. GIRLS PETITION
FOB ZETA KAPPA PSI
Corvallis Delegates Visit Lo
cal Chapter.
At a business meeting of Zeta Kappa,
0. A. C. woman’s forensic society, on the
Oregon campus Sunday afternoon, a pe
tition was presented 'by Zeta Kappa. O.
A. C. woman’s forensic society, asking
that a- charter of the national organiza
tion be granted them. MiSs Lois Hall,
president of the Oregon chapter of Zeta
Kappa IPsi, expressed herself as fairly
sure the 0. A, C. girls would be granted
a charter. Doris Jenkins and Erna Von
Lehe, delegates to the meeting Sunday
are both on the O. A. O. debating team
and are making every effort to gain the
national society for their campus.
If the O. A. C. girls get their charter
they will have the distinction of being the
second western college to install a chap
ter of Zeta Kappa Psi. Oregon holds the
honor of being the first in that field.
Plans for a debate to be held with O.
'A. C. were discussed at the meeting Snn
,day. Miss Hall, who was delegate to the
convention at Manhattan, Kansas, in
November, made a report on convention
business to the active members of Ore
gon chapter of Zeta Kappa Psi. Plans
were made for a doughnut debating con
test to be held in the near future.
With this in mind a representative
,from each living organization on the
’(Campus was invited to tea at four
o’clock Sunday for the purpose of dis
cussing inter-sorority debate and to meet
the O. A. C. visitors. The girls ex
pressed themselves as being in favor of
the debates and a meeting was hekl last
night in Professor Crockatt’s room- to
deside upon a subject for debate and to
Idiscuss the selection of .judges.
