The Hfrmian club, organized of up
porelass majors in physical education for
women ordered its gift, to the women’s
building last week. The present plan

"We plan,” said Hath Wolff, president
of the Hcrminn dub, “to establish a
precedent, and hope that the members
of the club in coming years will follow
our example in presenting something
wh.ch will add to the heauty and dignity
of our new women’s building.”
For this reason, the idea of the
fneze was ehosen. The first sections
will be purchased by the charter mem
bow of the elitb and can be added to
from time to time by future members.
Money Raised Through Work.
The physical education majors have
already raised through their own efforts
a $1,000 contribution to the building
fund. \ arious methods bave been used
to obtain money, among them being class
es for children in folk and aesthetic
dancing, gymnasium classes for women,
massage and corrroctive work. The
pound, to which all careless women
in the department contribute regularly
lias also been a source of income — the
small fines for redeeming gymnasium
clothes as well ns the sale of middies.

This fall approximately $100 was raised
in this manner.
Thus, the $1,000 pledge lias been
j raised, bur the girls are going to eou
timie to add to their fund, which will be
spent in beautifying the new home of
the department.
It is our idea to show to some extent
that we are appreciative of the fact
that, we arc getting such a wonderful
building for our department.'’ said Miss
Wolff.

nienl. Mr. Fisher, superintendent of
grounds, lias done much, said Miss Cum
mings. toward the beautifying of the
campus with trees and flowers, and the
physical education majors intend to do
ns much in their new home. Miss Cum
mings is doing a great deal towards help
ing the majors in their new enterprise.
