cial, “shop'' being left entirely out <4. thej
conversation. A whole hearted "get ac-;
quainted” was enjoyed by the following:!
Dean Lawrence, W. K. Newell, snperin-j
t’endent of properties; F. H Miles, chief!
construction; .T. Spores, superinten- i
dent of construction; W. A. Weaver, su-j

THEME AT ASSEMBLY

University of Washington. The re
sponding yells seemed to answer the
question to his satisfaction.
New Song Is Sung.
“Boys, Hold That Line,” a new foot
ball song composed by Oleorge Pasto,
was sung at the assembly for thp first
time, the men’s and women’s glee clubs
leading. Efforts will be made to have
the individual students practice it so that
it can be used during the Homecoming
game. I ***^*V^MP|
Frank Jue. tenor, sang “Thorn” and
“Mother Macbree.” two selections that
seemingly, from the applause, made a
big “hit” with the assemblage.
Yelling, led by Dean Ireland, concluded
the program.

King is so far the best-looking bet for
the fullback position and from Blake,
Chapman, Mead,. Holmes. Jacobberger

f,: Fumbles should not mar the Washing
ton game. To a few costly fumbles
which the Lemon-Yelow made in the
game against Stanford can be laid the
blame for losing the game. Oregon fum
bled seven times during the contest, and
this fault must be eliminated if the Sun
dodgers are to be beaten. Coach Hunt
ington hopes to have a perfect smooth
running machine to put into the game
against tin* Northerners and he is work
ing hard this week with this idea in
mind.
