SALEM ROMPS ON FROSH
High School Wreaks Revenge on
College Youngsters
; Salem high school wreaked revenge
for the defeat handed them here
some time ago by the Prosh quintet,
when they defeated the Frosh five in
a fast game played at Salem last
night by a score of 30 to 12. The
Salem lads outplayed the Frosh in
team work and basket shooting.
Andre was the star of the Frosh
quintet, scoring the most points and
proving the strong factor in team
work. The Frosh lined up as follows:
Andre and Clerin, forwards; Latham,
center; Burdette and McAntee,
guards. Phillips and Couch were tak
en along as spares. Coach Bill Rhine
hart and "Eddie Durno, Varsity for
ward. accompanied the team to
Salem.

VonderAhe, Sloan and Johnson Com
missioned Second Lieutenants
Three commissioned officers were
appointed Wednesday by Captain R.
C. *Baird. Karl L. Vonder Ahe, Em
erald Sloan and Rolpli Johnson were
appointed second lieutenants. Vonder
Ahe was assigned to Company E,
Sloan was transferred from Company
B to Company D and Johnson was
assigned to Company A.
Corporal Chas. G. Robertson, Com
pany A, was appointed sergeant, and
Cadets Austin Hazard and Wade
Kerr were appointed corporals in the!
same organization.
