ter, retiring Latham and substitut
ing Durno in Lind’s place at for
ward. The new combination started
good but continual hard luck in
shooting at the hoop, broke up many
pretty plays. Jamieson made a big
spurt at this period of the half and
by a series of lucky shots brought
his team into the lead for the home
stretch, the score—22 to 19 tells
the rest of the story.
The basket shooting together with
the floorwork of Jamieson and the
close guarding "by Cook and Nichol
son were the big features in the
work of the visitors. Manerud broke
into a varsity game last night for
the first time, taking Durno’s place
at forward, it being Coach Hunting

CENTRAL CHURCH STUDY
1010 Pearl St., Eugene
February 7th, 1920.
Students of the U. of O., Greetings:
The Churches in Eugene stand open for the students
to enter in and expose to refreshment and cultivation that side
of their nature that will “outlast the stars.”
Central Church is na exception to this rule. Our morning
hour comes at 10:30. I shallspeak on “The Happy People”:
who they are and what they do. At .11:40 I shall be glad to
talk over with the men in my study “The Blind Man’s Creed”
as found in John 5. At the same time Mrs. Case will meet
the women at the Manse at 1040 Pearl. Then at 5 o’clock
our Vesper hour will be made notable through a message
from Miss Hughes of New York on “The Girl in To-day’s
Crisis.” Every young woman, every man with a sister, will
want to hear her. This will be followed by our Young
People’s Hour, with social and refreshment features.
