Despite the aftermath of the friv olity of Homecoming week Univer sity folks aie entertaining? this week end with parties that are perhaps among the gayest of the season. The Senior dance Friday night had the “tone” that always graces their far famed parties. This evening members of the school of journalism left their typewriters and eye shades and are dancing the hours away in the men’s gymnasium. Of a more formal nature were the house dance.s of Pi Beta Phi and Sigrna Delta Phi, Friday night, and Phi Delta Theta tonight. Woman’s league sponsored a matinee dance this aft ernoon. * * * One of the foremost events of the week is the Sigma Nu dance given at their house this evening. The decorations were original and attractive. The three rooms used for dancing were decorated to rep resent Spring, Autumn and Winter, respectively. The patrons and pa tronesses were Mr. and Mrs, L. L. Goodrich, Mr- and Mrs. Elmer Paine, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Walker. The guest list included Marjorie Del zell. Miss Hall, a junior in the university, took her first year at Stanford. She is a member of Delta Gamma fraternity and Theta Kappa Psi, woman’s hon orary national forensic fraternity. Mr. Bond returned in July from France, where he was stationed for more than a year as lieutenant in the artillery. He is on the campus now assisting the department of geology. Mr. Bond was graduated from the university in 1916 and re ceived master’s degree the follow ing 'year. While in college he was a tennis champion, a member of the men’s glee club, the Order of the O. and Delta Tau Delta. The date of the wedding was not an nounced. * * * A luncheon was given at noon today at the Delta Gamma house in honor of Miss Pearl McDonell, province secretary of the local chap ter. The purple and yellow color scheme was carried out in astors and tule. The invited guests were Mrs. P. L. Campbell, Mrs. J^hn Straub, Dean Elizabeth Fox, Mrs. Amy Dunn, Mrs. A. Rogers, Mrs. F- S.
