Money in Liberty Bonds
It will be a matter of satisfaction to
everyone, I am sure, to know that ns
fast as this money is paid in, it is being
invested in Liberty bonds. To-date

Former Student President Awaits Call
to San Antonio.
Carlton E. Spencer. '13, former presi
dent of the University student body, has
received an appointment to the aviation
training station at San Antonio, Texas,
and has returned to Portland, from
Stanford, where he is awaiting his call.
After graduation from the University,
Spencer studied law at the Northwestern
Law school in Portland, and acted as
secretary for the school at the same
time. He went to Stanford to take post
graduate work this fall.
Charles Ray, movie star, is six feet
tall, is an adept at French and Spanish,
writes stories whenever the spirit moves
him, takes a keen interest in electrical
experiments and excels in all forms of
athletic exercises.
