Near the beginning of the evening the prizes for the best costumes were awarded to Tula Kingsley and Charles Croner. They were dressed in English riding habits. Much attention centered around the bucolic appearance and behavior of a good old country cou ple who were represented by Jeannette Cabins and Harold Tregilgas. Max Rei gurd as Charlie Chaplin also evoked many a laugh during the evening. The feature dance was an interesting number on the program. The men and women were told to line up on opposite sides of the room and two wheelbarrows huleu with popcorn balls were brought in. This was wound up by a ladies’ choice. Patrons and patronesses of the eve ning were Dean and Mrs. John Straub, Mr. and Mrs, J. F. Bovard, Dean Eliza beth Fox and Professor II. F. Harthan. # # * Rioting color, quaint "Vogue” figures, piquant parrots, shaded lights, and be witching music will all combine this evening to furnish enjoyment for the membe-s of Kappa Alpha Theta and their guests at their formal dinner dance at the Osburn Hotel. Tables for the dinner have been arranged in the main dining room and on each little “\ ogue” bouquets and unique hand painted place cards will guide the guests to their places. The programs are simple in style, being made of ' ellum paper with the Kappa Theta crest on the outside. The lights are shaded with orange lanterns from which dangle fantastic green tassels and the panels and posts around the room are covered with strips of the same colors, on which gay cut out pictures from Vogue are pasted. Here and there a jaunty parrot hangs proudly in his golden hoop and “splotches” of color are everywhere. The patron and patronesses for this affair are Mrs. S. R. Each fraternity and women’s organization of the campus will have a short vaudeville sketch and an original program is promised by the committee in charge. A cup will be given to the organization presenting the best stunt and a prize has also been offered to the girl having the most becoming and orig inal costume.
