CLINTON THIENES IS HOME
Returns From Hospital; Operations Be
lieved Successful.
Clinton Thienes, a junior in the Uni
versity, who has been confined to the
Good Samaritan hospital in Portland
for six months after several operations
on his hip, has returned to his home in
Eugene. The operation, which was for
the purpose of lengthening one of his
limbs, is believed to have been success
ful.
He will be able to get about on crutch
es but will have to wear a plaster cast
for tome time.
The junioij’ class has voted to present
its returned member with a wheeled chair
or something else which will be of use to
him during his enforced idleness.
