Y. W. TREASURER HAPPY: ELECTION BRINGS DUES New Ruling Disenfranchising Delinquent Members Brings in Scads of Money. Thip Y. W. C. A. treasurer, Mina Fer guson, says she was never so happy be fore, and that she wishes the associa tion elections came twice a year. The cause is the frenzied rate at which du°s have been coming in lately, owing to the new Y. W. financial policy, first put in practice at the Tuesday afternoon 'elec tion. No unpaid member was allowed to vote. In the afternoon before the polls opened, $8 was handed the treasurer in a lump, from a house that had a candi date. Fourteen dollars was paid “on the ground.” The total payment of dues since the paid-up policy was established is $27. Seventy-six votes were cast, strict Australian style, between '4:30 and 5:00 o'clock. Eighty people attended the meeting, although the average attend ance for the last four meetings is 48. Jewel Tozier, clerk of the election board, permitted no voter to put her own ballot in the tightly tied box. No cor ruption wag allowed to creep in.
