Alumni Section President .- John C. Veatch, ’07 Fenton (Bldg., Portland. Secretary-Treasurer— Earl Kilpatrick, ’09, 1253 Ferry St., Eugene. PRESIDENT WARD L. RAY When Ward L. Ray ruled as Pres ident of the Dormitory Association in 1908, he inspired the Freshmen with awe. It is not on record that the fac ulty had any such feeling, although ^they recognized his ability along cer tain lines. Now comes word out of the East that Dr. Ray has been elected Pres ident of Williams and Vashti College, in Illinois. Those who knew Dr. Ray as a student congratulate pot only the regents of the college, but the student body as well. They will find in their new president a man who will never lose his ability to appreciate the student view point.
