Ljtfttjntj Section C. Veatcb, ’0? rtland. EarlSttpatrick, ’09, 1253 Ferry St., Eugene. ALUMNI ACQUAINTANCE One would not be far wrong should he hazard the opinion that there is 0 scarcely a community in the state where all the alumni and former stu dents of the University resident in that community are known to one an other. The Alumni Secretary has had the opportunity in more than one com munity of introducing to one another alumni of the University who have lived for years in the same city without ever realizing their common educational experience. Of course, the lines of cleavage in business and social affairs by no means follow college ties. Still there is an element of good fellowship which always comes into evidence when people who are college trained get to | gether for a social time. Alumni and former students have I much to gain in pleasure. for them selves, as well as in prestige for their college, by promoting an occasional meeting of those who have attended the University. The Secretary endeavors to keep his list of former students as accu rate as possible and will gladly fur nish to any alumnus a list of the alumni and former students in his community, as complete as can be compiled in the office. r MABEL J.
