advance to goal line, reeling off 4 and
7 yards at a clip. Monteith thrown

returned the leather 2 yards just as
the half ended.

Second Half
Cornwall kicked off to Willamette's
25-yard line. Willamette fumbled on
second down and Oregon regained
ball. Another forward pass failed.
Bolt punted 30 yards to Sharpe, who
ran it back 20 yards.
Garrett replaced Mitchell and Teg
gart went in at full for Hendricks.
Oregon missed another forward pass
by a narrow margin. Oregon made
its first forward pass, Bigbee to
Sharpe, for 9 yards. Crawford tack
led Monteith for loss. Sharpe car
ried the ball 15 yards and Powrie ad
vanced it to the 5-yard line Bigbee
made 4 yards. Crawford threw Teg
gart for loss.
Willamette held them for yardage
and Bolt kicked from behind his own
goal posts, 35 yards, Sharpe return
ing 18 ynrds. Another pass failed to
materialize. Willamette blocked at
tempted place kick and Teggart recov
ered ball in the center of the field.
Cornwall punted 30 yards. Bolt
kicked 28 yards t® his 50-yard line.
All the team jerked except Corn
wall, Cossman, Bigbee and Monteith.
Monteith made 20 yards through
left wing and Huntington reeled off
20 more. Bryant was held. On the
next down the ball was fumbled, roll
ing across Willamette’s goal line.
Beckett fell on ball for touchdown.
Bryant kicked goal.

Monteith returned the kick-off 3B
yards. Huntington made 6 yards.
Paget broke through and threw Bry
ant for a loss. Beckett punted 20
yards. The quarter ended with ball
on Willamette’s 28-yard line in her

Monteith ran through a scattered field
for a touchdown. Bryant kicked goal.

Bolt kicked over goal line and ball
was put in play on Oregon’s 20-yard
line. Bigbee made 9 yards. Hunt
ington failed to gain. Beckett punt
ed 28 yards. Gates failed to gain on
shift play. Flegel failed to gain on
same formation. Bolt, punted 25
yards. Monteith made 20 yards. Bry
ant twisted and squirmed over four
white lines, eluding six would-be
tacklers. Beckett and Snyder opened
up a hole big enough for an ice wag
on, and Monteith walked across the
Mefhodista’ line. Bryant failed to i

Bartlett replaced Vickery at left end
for Willamette. Bolt kicked off to
Monteith. Monteith ran 25 yards.
Bryant 20, and then Huntington ran
80 yards, carrying the ball to Wil
lamette’s 10-yard line. The 13th lot

Huntington returned the kick-off
16 yards. Bryant reeled off another
25-yard run. Huntington made 10
yards.
Forward pass failed, Bryant to
Cornwall pass successful. After four
more plays, Huntington carried it
over. Bryant kicked goal.
