MARRY YOUNG IS DR. HALL’S PLEA AUTHORITY ON SEX HYGIENE GIVES ADVICE TO YOUNG MEN DESIRABLE GIRL DESCRIBED Talk Before Men Thursday Ev ening Concludes Lectures Here. Next Series Starts at Berkeley This Afternoon Dr. Winfield S. Hall spoke to the young men of the University on the subject of “Sex Hygiene” in Villard Hall Thursday evening at 7:15. True to hiB promise to tell the young men of the kind of girl to marry and the time to marry, he said: “Let us conjure up a picture. Here enter a girl. She is graceful, notice her movements, the symmetry of her body. And her eyes, see how lustrous, and as you look into them you know she is pure. That is the girl, boys, to marry. And let me emphasize this, marry young! It is the greatest mlsttake to wait until you are thirty. If you are getting Bixty dollars a month, marry. Do not let your pride get the better of you, and say, ‘My wife Will not have to work.’ It is the best thing in the world for a woman to work. And in later years when you think of. those first years you will emphati cally say, ‘Those were the happiest days of my life.’ ” Wr. Hall left Thursday night for Berkeley, Cal., to deliver a lecture. Tomorrow he speaks at Leland Stan ford and from thence he goes to the University of Nevada, traveling east ward, finishing his decture tour in December. DR. HODGE SPEAKS AT TEACHERS' INSTITUTES Extension Professor Says South ern Roads Are the Worst He Has Ever Seen Dr. C. F. Hodge reutrned, Thurs day from the southern part of the state where he has been .lecturing on Biology and its relation to agriculture and Bird Life. He lectured at the various Teacher In stitutes in Klamath Falls, Lakeview, Grants Pass and Roseburg. Dr. Hodge Bays, “I find the teachers of Oregon very much interested in the teaching of agriculture in the schools. Within a very short time I look for a great development along this line.” Dr. Hodge made the trip from Klamath Falls-to Lakeview in an au tomobile, In speaking of the road which he passed over he said : “That was :the most crooked road I have ever seen. Why, it would often make a complete circle around a sage brush or tree.” Dr. Hodge found everybody, with whom he came in contact, very en thusiastic for the University and its work. As far as he could observe, he felt sure that southern Oregon would return a very large majority for the appropriation. He left Eugene this afternoon to continue his work in other parts of the state, where he is to meet with other institutes. ooooooooooooooooo o o o PEARL TANGLEY WILL o o CREATE SENSATION, o o Pearl Tangley, the most o o talked of woman in Eugene, o o will appear at the Savoy the- o o atre next Monday in her o o wonderful mystifying act.
