appointed, probably five or six, de
pending upon the scope of the work
to be undertaken at first, and the
chairman of these, together with the
officers will compose the Executive
Committee. The President announces
a meeting of the officers, together
with some of the women of the Uni

the formation of this League early
next week. At this time definite steps
will be taken toward a more complete

McRae kicked like a Missouri night

Dr. Sweetland, when seen after the
game, was highly satisfied with the
showing that his charges made in
holding the Varsity to three runs,
while Mr. Ayer wore the big fat smile
in appreciation of his team’s fielding
ability. The Varsity surely is coming
along in league-long leaps in this
part of the game, and another week’s

honor society for those who have won
their “O” in this branch of activity.
This is the first society of its kind
ever organized at Oregon for forensic
honors, but it should be a decided suc
cess, as all the larger schools on the
coast have organized such clubs with
great success.
The charter members of the new
organization are: Robert W. Prescott,
Carleton E. Spencer, Howard W. Zim
merman, David Pickett, A. Burleigh
Cash, Vernon Motschenbacher, and
Dal King. At the meeting last night,
Howard Zimmerman was elected
president and Dal King secretary.
