The association is planning to hold a meeting soon and make ar rangements for the establishment of branch athletic associations in the various high schools of the state. The object of these branch associations will be to develop the social side of the Oregon women as well as the ath letic side. “It is necessary now-a-days,” Dr. Stuart went on to explain, “for wo men to know how to work and act col lectively, and it is for this purpose that all kinds of outdoor group games will be arranged.” Divisions under different heads have already been made, canoeing, walking, golf, tennis, and archery. These groups will begin work imme diately after the next meeting. It is hoped that the next year will see the Oregon women take an unusu ally active interest and part in out door sports and it is with this aim in view that the Athletic Association will proceed to do its work.
