    SIX GAMES SCHEDULED
ON NORTHERN CHIT
Twelve Ball Flayers to Leave Satur
day With Chandler Acting as
Coach.
A squad of twelve men, making up
the Varsity baseball team, will leave
on their Easter vacation trip Satur
day morning. Captain Ben Chandler
will have charge of the trip, as Mr.
Ayer will be unable to go with them.
The first game will be that with the
Williamette University at Salem,
Saturday afternoon, after which the
squad will go on into Portland, where
they will spend the Sunday. The next
jump is to Pullman to play the Wash
ington Aggies, on Monday and 1 ues
dav. There is a hole in the schedul
for Wednesday, hut. Thursday and
Friday’s battle with the University of
Washington will be hard enough that
the rest will be a welcome one. Leav
ing Seattle Friday night, the team
will appear next day on Multnomah
field, where they will contest the club
team, the last game of the trip.
The composition of the squad has
not as yet been given out, Mr. Ayer
wishing the practice of these last tw >
days to decide a couple of close con
tests for positions. It is proha hi •
that three pitchers and two catchers
will be taken along, one of the pitch
ers to be used as a utility man.
There will be only two games
played that will count in the final
reckoning for the championship of the
Confer>•. nee, those being the games
with IJ. of W., as the sectional sys
tem has been adopted for this season.
By this plan Oregon, Washington, and
(). A. C. play for the supremacy in
this division, W. S. C,, Whitman, and
Idaho scrapping it out. for the Eastern
section, the winners to meet in a scr
ies to he later arranged for.
