This decision is worthy of com mendation. The Executive Council is elected by the students of the Uni versity to do the business which it is impossible to transact in the un wieldy student body meeting. Most important of its duties is the audit ing and payment of bills contracted by the graduate manager and other representatives of the Student Body. Every student contributes live dol lars to the Student Body funds when ho registers in the fall, and a great deal more is collected during the year in the form ot gate receipts. The Council has recently installed a system of requisitions and vouch ers, which makes any irregularity well-nigh impossible. But neverthe less every student has a right to know where this money goes. The knowledge that the transac tions of the Council will be made public will exert a nealthy influence toward reducing the extravagance and petty graft, which seem almost inevitable in public business, to a minimum, and will also react upon the students at large in a way to stimulate a greater interest in Stu dent Body affairs. The Council has taken the right at titude. We can now keep tab on what is going on. WOMEN WILL CONTINUE BASKETBALL SCHEDULE The schedule of the inter-sorority basketball league will be resumed Monday, when the final struggle will begin. Only two teams, Gamma Phi Beta and Lambda Rho. have been eliminated, the announcement that Beth Kenh was out of the race being incorrect, but in another week the number of teams remaining in the game will be narrowed to two or three. The Kappa \lpha Theta team, which won the championship last year, is leading again this year with tin- highest percentage. Hein Theta !‘i Initiation.
