    SPORTING BREVITIES
Golf Record of Local Links Soon Will
Be Nothing at All—Bush
Shows Class.
Robbie Prescott, our popular ex
ponent of cow pasture pool, has hung
up another record of eight for the
nine hole course. Some rude scoffers
about the campus have openly doubt
ed the record, but the sport editor
stands squarely against such muck
ensm and rowdy tactics.
Bush Brown has been limbering
up on the diamond with the rounder
team during vacation. Bush is in a
class with himself.
The seniors have challenged the en
tire school to a round at pea pool.
The scholastic standing and amateur
status of Captain B. Chandler is be
ing looked into by the lower classes.
Flute Briedwell oozed into town
Thursday evening, returning from
the Columbia meet. Flute is pained
and disgusted at the rowdy tactics
of the other contestants who refused
to wait for him.
(Special by Assassinated Press.)
Elmira, Or., Apr. 21—Vosper, Fow
ler, Smith and Blohm, the notorious
ticket scalpers, are still at large in
the fastnesses of the mountains.
Posses of anguished students are now
scouring the hills and the capture
is hourly expected. Cold and expos
ure will sooner or later drive them
to the valley, as the only protection
they have is one large blanket ticket.
