Sunday, June 19, and continue unti
Wednesday night.
Eec. Mr. Young, of the Methodisl
church of Portland, will deliver th<
baccalaureate sermon, and the Uni
versity School of Music will have
charge of the musical numbers.
Monday night, Miss Lila Prossei
will give her recital, at that time
graduating from the Music depart
ment. The. commencement orchestra
composed of college people, will assist
Miss Prosser.
Tuesday night is the date of the
Failing and Beekman orations. Priot
to the orations, however, the Flower
and Fern Procession will take place;
and also the fancy dances, under the
direction of Dr. Stuart, will be given
on the campus.
Wednesday morning eighty seniors
will receive their degrees and in the
evening the festivities will end with
the Senior ball.
Burns Powell
Burns Powell, who will edit the Em
erald next year, is a Junior, majoring
in economics. He has been managing
editor this year and has done excellent
work. He is a member of the Dorm
Club, and prominent in the Glee Club
and Musical circles.
Wendell Barbour
Wendell Barbour, the popular track
manager, is a member of the Junior
class, and a popular University man.
Tn his freshman year he was president
of his class. Mr. Barbour is a mem
ber of the Delta Sigma Frat.
Lunch Served in Villard
Lunch was not served on the cam
pus as stated on the first page of the
Emerald, but owing to the inclem
ency of the weather the delicious re
past prepared by the co-eds was en
joyed in Villard.
Ohio State University is asking the
legislature for an appropriation with
which to build a building for the work
in journalism and commerce.
