This year we should like to hear from some embryonic Morgans and Carnegies who desire a business training and need the money. At our expense, we train every man in his own territory. Our propo sition is strictly business—no house to house canvassing and no .samples. Write W. E. Judge, 24 California St., San Francisco. HURRY, HURRY, IF YOU WANT YOUR NAME IN BOOK Clarence Walls, chairman of the week-end program committee, re quests that all the ’Varsity artistic talent immediately concern itself with a cover design for the program. The copy for this book, which will comprise about 25 pages, must be in to the printer by Saturday. The com mittee hopes to make the program complete in every particular and is busy collecting the entries for the different contests. Although the Mer chants’ Protective Association will not sanction the plan and permit ad vertisements to be solicited, the com mittee hopes to collect some adver tisements and thus save the class a few of the fifty dollars. Those who intends entering the canoe carnival contests are urged co put their names in immediately, that they may be included in the schedules of events. Managers of the various teams are also requested to turn in the lineups for the various ’Varsity contests. SIT'DENT EMPLOYMENT AGENCY IS STARTED! A student employment agency has been started and will be managed by i Robert Prescott. Every year the! University has received numerous re quests for student help for the sum mer vacation but has never been able to fill the greater share of them on account of no organized agency which could make a systematic canvass for students. This agency will not only attempt to supply students with work for the summer but with work j during the school year, and also aid them in securing permanent posi tions after they leave college. I Mr. Prescott informs the Emerald ! that he already has several summer jobs to fill and asks that students desiring work should see him imme diately.
