The track was worked down and is in better condition1 now than last year at mid-season. Xo heavy work has been done by the men so far, but in a few weeks stren uous work will begin. All the old men are turning out ex cept McDaniels, who will probably fall in line later in the season.. The Freshmen have a wealth of new material, and many of them are show ing Varsity class. There promises to be keen compe tition for every place on the team this year, a fact which augurs well for a championship team INTER-CLASS LEAGUE OPENS ON THURSDAY The girls’ inter-class basketball games will be played next week in the Men’s Gymnasium every afternoon, starting Tuesday, between 5 :00 and 6:00 o'clock. These games give promise of arousing much interest and inter-class rivalry. A vote is to be taken among the various players as to whether the men shall be admitted. Sentiment generally seems to favor the mere men. This will be definitely announced later. The schedule, as it has been arranged, is as follows: Tuesday, March 7, Juniors vs. Sopho mores. Wednesday, March 8, Juniors vs. Freshmen. Thursday, March 9, Sophomores vs. Freshmen. Friday, March 10, Juniors vs. Seniors. Monday, March 13, Seniors vs. Fresh men. REWARDS OFFERED FOR THE SALE~OF TICKETS Tomorrow Manager Huntington will inaugurate a ticket selling contest for the sale of tickets to the luter-Collc giate Oratorical contest March 10th. First and second prizes will be given to the two who sell the greatest number of tickets, provided each sells over fif teen. The first prize will be two (2) tickets to the Association’s banquet held immediately after the contest Friday night. The second prize will be one ticket to the banquet. In explaining the contest, Mr. Hunt ington said : “I will be obliged to call upon a score of studentr to sell tickets for the contest, and it is only fair that T should offer some reward for the best work.” JUNIORS TO DOMINATE ASSEMBLY WEDNESDAY The Junior class will have charge of the program at assembly next Wednes day, and will present some of the best talent in the class in speeches, recita tions and musical numbers. Just what the program will consist of is being held as a secret by the commit tee in charge, but it lias been learned that David McDaniel. Class President, and veteran track man. will deliver the address of the day. The custom of “Class Hour” was orig inated last year by the present Junior class.
