READING ROOM IS NOW
READY FOR DORM. BOYS
A study and reading room is to be
added to the conveniences of the mem
bers of the Dorm Club. The room on
the lower floor of the Dormitory build
ing, looking out toward McClure Hall,
has been vacated and turned over to
the Club to be fitted up for that pur
pose, the idea being to provide for the
men who patronize the dormitory, a
place where they may enjoy more se
clusion than can be afforded in the main
reception room. The furnishing of the
room and the full control of it will be
left in the hands of the Club.
A meeting was held Thursday night,
at which it was decided that the new
room should be set aside for the use of
only the men who room or board at
the dormitory. A committee was ap
pointed to make plans as to its fur
nishing and the method of conducting
it, and will make its report to the
Dorm Club during the early pjyt of
next week. The members of the com
mittee are Messrs. Geisler, Terry and
Downs.

the Y. M. C. A.” Short talks were also
given by Fred Cash and Cl. W. Wells,
both of the freshman class, and a trom
bone solo by R. Burns Powell, '12. was
received with an encore. A few minutes
before the opening of the meeting were
(devoted to the singing of the songs of
the University, for the benefit of such
as have not yet had an opportunity to
learn them. Professor Schafer will ad
