three (23) mercury vapor lights to be
located within the C fv of Winston in ac
cordance with the locations on file in
the office ol the undersigned and with
the right to contact certain Pacific Power
and Light poles or telephone company
poles. It will be necessary to set live (S)
35-foot lull-treated wood poles at certain
specified locations, ine unit to oe in
stalled on these 23 locations Is a mercury
vapor light with 175-watt mercury lumln
alre complete wllh ballast. Fixture shall
have acrylic lens meeting IES and!
NEMA standards, tvoe 2 and 4. Lamp
shall be GE No. h-39 on Westinghouse
or Sylvania of equal and comparable
quality. Fixture shall be controlled by a
precision pholo electric cell and Include
a mast arm not less than 30 inches In1
length. j
Bid on each light shall Include the In
stallation either on existing utility poles
for which permission has been granted,:
or to set new poles. Bid shall include
the necossary labor and equipment for
making complete Installation and com
plete operating units for each light to
and Including the hookup of tho same.
Bidders should specify the cost tor
each Installation at each location as the
Council has specified amount for this
work and it may be necessary to delete
one or Iwo of the lights in order to
come within tne allocated funds.
