Beaver-Buff Tilt To Draw 20,000
PORTLAND (UP!) Oregon
State's Beavers, bitten by a flu
bug earlier this week, and Colo
rado's Buffalos, coming off a sur
prising season's opening perform
ance, collide at Multnomah Stadi
um tonight.
A crowd of about 20.000 persons
is expected for the football game,
scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
Oregon State, which stormed
past Utah 29-14 at Salt Lake City
in its campaign opener last week
end, had 30 players hit by a flu
attack Tuesday night.

The Canyonville Bible Academy
Pilots, rapidly rising to fame as
one of the top A-2-B cross country
powers in the state, toppled the
Rogue River Chieftains Friday in
a .meet at Canyonville.
Eddie John paced the CBA var
sity to a decisive 19-39 victory over
the Chieftains, while the CBA
Jayvee harriers toppled the Rogue
River Varsity, 27-32, in the meet.
John covered the two and a half
mile course in 13 minutes and 48
seconds to finish ahead of team
mate Bob Stanton. Stanton, a soph
omore, was clocked at 14:07.
