She's In A Spin!
By ABICAIL VANBUREN
DEAR ABEY: I am 29 and am
married for the sixth time. I know
that makes me sound like a ter
rible person, but I'm really not.
(I married my third husband
twice.) My problem is 'I am still
in love with my fifth husband.
I lived with him longer than with
any of the others (four years) and
I loved him with all my heart.
He kept accusing me of still being
in love with my ex-husbands, first
one and then another. I couldn't
take it anv longer, so I divorced
him, The day my divorce became
final I married the lawyer who got
me my divorce. I don't love him,
Abby. I only married him because
I am afraid to stay alone at night.
How can I get my fifth husband
back? He is now going with my
younger sister. I know it is only
because she reminds him of me.
MIXED UP
DEAR MIXED UP: After six
trips to the altar and five to tht
divorce court you are not likely
to take my advice which I am
reluctant to flive. Forget your
numbers gams and make No.
your No. I for lit.
A SAD DAD
DEAR DAD: You're rati Your
daughter is generous to fault.
nd her mother isn't helping mat
ttrs much. Your daughter should
wait until she's married to show
what a "good little wife" she can
be.
DEAR ABBY: Just a few lines
to let you know what you did for
us. I saw your column on donating
your eyes to the blind. My husband
said for years he wanted to de
it, so I called the Lions Club in
Marysville, and my husband, my
self and our five children, ages
from 4 to 21 are now going to don
ate our eyes after death. I want
to thank you, Abby. 1 know this
is what God would want us to do.
Forever grateful.
DONNA MARTIN, HARRISBURG,
PENNA.
DEAR ABBY: We have a nice
looking 16-year-old daughter who
has never given us any trouble.
She helps her mother and has al
ways brought home good report
cards. She has a boy friend who
is almost 18. They have gone to
gether for almost a year. He is a
good kid, quiet like our daughter.
Lately he has been bringing his
laundry here (underwear, shirts
and socks) for my daughter to
wash and iron. I told my Mrs,
this was all wrong. She says our
daughter is showing the boy what
a good little wile sne can De. i
say, what's the hurry? Who is
wrong?
CONFIDENTIAL TO "E": If
you would first forgive yourself,
you would find it easier to forgive
others.

and West opened the eight of
hearts. The nine was played from
dummy and East's queen lost to
South's ace. A spade lead put West
in with the ace and he led a second
heart. South won in dummy and
entered his hand with the queen
of trumps. Then he led the queen
of clubs.
West thought awhile. Or at least
stopped to count points. He held
15 high card points himself. Dum
my had started with seven and
East had shown the queen of
hearts. This left 16 points unac
counted for and the odds were that
South held them. It also was cer
tain that East could not hold more
than one point. South was using
the 15-17 no-trump as is customary
today.
Thus, there was no hope of beat
ing the hand. West hopped up with
the ace of clubs and promptly cash
ed his ace of diamonds to hold
South to his contract.
North might well have made

was a sure thing.

Rescuers Pluck
Boy From Ledge
AUGUSTA, Mont. (UPI) Res
cuers early Monday picked a 10-
year-om Great Falls, Mont., boy
from a narrow ledge high on a
1,500-foot rock cliff where he had
perched about 18 hours.
The boy, Bruce Krummel, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gill of
Great Falls, was unharmed but
cold, wet and scared as he was
carried 125 feet down a ladder
constructed at the base of the
cliff.
Rescue came at 3:30 a.m. PDT.
The boy had been on the cliff
since about 9 a.m. Sunday. He
had been camping with his par
ents near diversion dam in Home
Gulch near Augusta.
He sat throughout the day and
night-125 feet above the canyon
floor on a ledge just wide enough
to hold him while rescuers tried
several methods of reaching him.
including a helicopter, before de
ciding to build the ladder.
Lumber was hauled to the scene
and fashioned into the ladder
while searchlights beamed on the
cliff and rescuers kept up a steady
conversation with Bruce to keep
his spirits up, especially during
the frcqrent rain showers that fell
during the night.
Bruce had thrown two jackets
and a shirt from the cliff earlier
yesterday to attract attention and
was clad only in a t-shirt and
jeans.
