FOX Wally and Linda Petei-on, pas tor and wife at the Glendale Church of Christ, who recently completed their studies at the Northwest Christian College in Eu gene, were ordained as ministers in a special service at the West side Church of Christ in Eugene. M.ther Diet Mr. and Mrs. Jack Myler of Azal ea received word that his mother, Mrs. Ede Biehl, 89, of Wichita, Kan., had died. Mrs. Molly McCarley of Van Nuys, Calif., arrived recently for a two-week visit with -her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sallee and family of Glen dale. Mr. Sallee's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sallee of Las Vegas, Nev., arrived for a few days' visit with the Sallee fam ily, with the H. L. Shepherds of Quines Creek, and with relatives in the Roseburg area. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Opperman and Lucy drove to Lake Sammam ish near Seattle over the week end. While there they visited with Mrs. Opperman's relatives. Lucy remained to attend a Bible Camp at the lake and to visit with rela tives in Washington. r Glide Bloodmobile Visit Successful I The Red 1 Cross Bloodmobile's first visit to the Glide area was made last Friday sponsored by the Glide Kiwanis Club whose project is a Community Credit Blood Bank. . The response to the club's ap peal for blood donors was a sur prisein the three-hour period, 3 to 6 p.m. Mrs. Robert B. Franks, blood recruiting chairman for the Douglas County Red Cross, report ed 43 blood donors volunteered. However, three were rejected for various causes. There were 23 men and women who were first time blood donors. A total of 40 pints of blood was obtained. Charles Morgan, president of the Glide Ki wanians was the first donor. Eighteen pints went to the Ki wanis Club blood bank by request of the donors. Nineteen pints were given in the name of Miss Sheryl Sims of Toketee who is to undergo heart surgery (her physician stat ed 17 pints would be required for the operation) and the remaining three pints given by donors were left to the discretion of the club for allotment. Mrs. Bill Hackney, Mrs. Gil Mag ness and Mrs. Elmer Reese typed donor information cards. Mrs. Patricia O'Brien spent the weekend in Portland visiting her two sons, who reside with their father, and was a guest in the home of her sister and family.
