The petition provides that the petitioners.
Homer Haskell Newsom and Lorraine Na
dint Newsom. reside at 4407 N. E. Stephens
Street, Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon.
They are both over the age or twenty-one
years and are residents and Inhabitants of
the State of Oregon, and have been and
are now duly married and are husband and
wife. The petition further provides that the
mid Laura Marls Wlllard is presently eight
it) years of age and has resided with the
petitioners since March 14, 1960.
The petition further provides that the natur
al parents of the above-named Laura Marie
Willard, Michael Bert Willard and Elizabeth
Willard. now known as Mrs. James Metkjt,
were divorced on October 13, 1954 In King
County, Washington. That the said natural
parents have deserted and neglected the
above-mentioned minor child for a period of
more than one year prior to the tiling of the
petition on tilt herein and have not pro
vided support, care or maintenance tor the
support of the said child.
