Changes Hands

Newcomer in the Green area
are Mr. and Mrs. Al Swsnson. for
merly of Winston. The Swansons
have purchased the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Hubbell on old
highway south. Swenson is retired
The Hubbellt have moved to Eu
gene, where he is employed on
work at the new additions to the
University. They have purchased
a 20-55 loot trailer house with
full extension, and are now living
at Idle Wheel Trailer Court.
Mr. and Mrs Dave Brinks and
her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Giese
of Salem, were in Green to visit
wiui Mr. and Mrs. Al CumminKs
Mrs. Giese remained here to assist
her daughter, .Mrs. Cummings, in
the care of their new baby boy
Kyle David. Kyle is tht third boy
tor the Lummings.
The Brinka family then went to
uia uian Mate University, where
, he received his doctorate in Psy
chology. He is a counseler in the
guidance center at University of
ureKoo.
Also visiting the Cummings fam
ily were Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Wen
ger and children of Salem, who
stayed two days while on their va-
cation. Mrs. Brinks, Mrs. Wenger.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Hughes
nd daughter have moved to their
ranch on Willis Creek which was

Mr. and Mrs. Pics Wynegar and
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nuckolls went
to Corvallii Sunday to attend the
graduation exercises at Oregon
State University. John Simpson,

Mrs. nuckolls was one of the grad
uates, receiving his degree from I
the school of business administra
tion.
Tom Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. j
T. P. Payne of Austin Road, has
returned to his base at San Diego
after spending a two-week leave
with his family here. Tom had just
finished his training as a hospital
corpsman, and will now work at
the Balboa Naval Hospital in San
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Buchholz
have returned to their home here
after spending a week at Kalispell,
Mont., where they visited their son,
Kenneth Buchholz and family, and
their son-in-law and daughter, Mr.

tage Grove, spent the weekend here

; Mrs. Berllia Tash, who spent the
winter at the home of her brother
in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Matthewman, has left to
spend the summer traveling and
visiting. Her trip will take her to
California, Mexico, and thence to
the Chicago area where she taught
school for many years before her
retirement.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Goodman of
Xoscburg purchased the former
Hughes farm on Harmony Drive
and have moved there with their
daughter. Goodman works for
Koseburg Lumber Co.
Calling on the George McDowell
family Wednesday evening were
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Scott of Med
ford, who were in Roseburg on
business. During the evening Scott,
who is an artist, conducted a les
son on techniques and theories of
oil painting, for several of the lo
itsl amfltpiirs.
' D'Ann Fullerton returned to the
home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs.
Clyde Fullerton. Thursday after
completing her first year at South
ern Oregon College at Ashland.
D'Ann was recently elected Miss
Roseburg, and will be making Il
eal plans to represent her district
at the Miss Oregon contest at Sea
Side June 27-29.
Carl Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Cyrus Clark, has gone to San Fran
cisco to spend two weeks with his
lister, Mrs. Vicki Pearce, and her
daughter, Lisa. Carl will travel
south and return with Mrs. Evelyn
Frazier of Roseburg, who is also
going south to visit.
