LONGEST TAXI RIDE A veteran Indianapolis race driver and a professional auto
test driver A. J. Shepherd and Edwin Morgan, are clocking off the longest cab rides
in history more thon 40,000 miles by Labor Day. They will make a one-hour "pit
stop" In Roseburg Tuesday. The purpose of the marathon ride is to check tire endur
ance. The stop in Roseburg will be mode at Montgomery Ward Co. Pictured above

East Main Street, Medford, Oregon and from
the Office of the District Clerk at the West
Elementary School, Sulherlln, Oregon.
A deposit of $25,00 per sot of drawings and
specifications will be required. Any bidder
upon returning his set promptly will be re
funded his deposit and any non-bidder upon
returning his sot will be refunded one-half
of his deposit.
This project involves the construction of a
block masonry and frame structure of ap
proximately 1600 sauare teet plus I600 square
feet of covered walk In the base bid. Two
paved outdoor teaching areas are to bid as
alternate.
All classifications will be covered under the
General Contract Proposal.

The successful bidder will be required to
furnish a failhful performance bond In full
amount of tho contract price In accordance
with Oregon Revised Statute 379.510.
The successful bidder shall carry Workmen's
Compensation Insurance protecting his em
ployees, and will be required to carry Public
Liability Insurance covering himself, his em
ployees, also School District 130-C, Its offi
cers, agents and employees to the minimum
amount of $50,000. for Injuries to one person
and $100,000. minimum tor one accident.
Ho shall carry properly damage Insurance
tn a minimum amount of $50,000. with a :
broad contractor's form of enforcement at
tached, protecting himself, his employees, 1
