time attending Century 21 World's
Fair.

from 2 to 5 p.m. Relatives and

They moved to Angwin for the
former to attend Pacific Union
College, the Seventh-day Adventist
college in Northern California.
They returned to Angwin last week
as Landis is attending summer

Oregon Slate College. He was one
of 16 forestry students to receive

the former's shop foreman for To-
zer Sheet and Metal Co., Ernie
Teel, and Mrs. Peel with them to
San Francisco and Oakland, Calif.,
over the weekend on a business
trip for 'Jie company. They return
ed home via the Redwood Highway.

LOS ANGELES (UPI)-An el
derly deaf-mute couple recently
dropped a dispute over a property
settlement agreed upon in their
Fcbriary divorce action and de
cided to give tneir marriage an
other try.

wife, Olive, 65, testified in sign

to try a reconciliation. The cou

Newport PeJice Seeking Trice Of Missing Lady
NEWPORT, Ore. (UPI) Police
are continuing a search for Mrs.
Lucille Mae Grenz, 4, missing
from her home at nearby Toledo
since March 30, and expressed
fear she may have met with foul
play.
Lincoln County Dist. Atty. A. R.
McMullen said laboratory tests
have shown that blood found
splashed throughout the bedroom
of her home is human blood.
Bedding, the mattress from her
bed, and drapes from the
bedroom were missing, but of
ficers said all the woman's
clothing and her personal belong
ings were intact.
An investigation by state police
and Lincoln County sheriff's of
ficers has spread as far as Se
attle, but there has been no in
dication of her whereabouts.

Tax Receipts Drop
SALEM (UPI) The Oregon
Tax Commission said today it
collected $10.4 million from the
key personal and corporate in
come taxes in May.
This was a drop of $3.3 million
from May, 1961.
For the fiscal year to date,
however, total collections as of
May were Sill million, a gain of
S.2 per cenl over a year ago.
The commission added that in
come tax collections for both
April and May this year wera
S45 million, up $3.6 million from
April - May, 1961.
At the same time. State Treas
uxor Howard C. Belton made an
upward revision in estimated
revenue from the Oregon inheri
tance and gift taxes. Belton said
he expected to take in $13 million
from these taxes during this bi
enr.ium which runs to July, 1963
$4.4 million mocc than anticipated
earlier.
