I Pioneer Days Parade Route
Route for the Douglas County
Pioneer Days Parade Saturday at
10 a.m. begins at NE Mulholland
Dr. and NE Garden Valley Blvd.
and proceeds east on Qarden Val
ley. It turns south on NE Walnut St.
to NE Chestnut St. where it turns
east again. The parade then heads
north on NE Stephens St. to NE
Channon Ave. where it disperses.

Days Rodeo Booster Button Show
at the Fairgrounds.
The show, slated for 7:30 will
bo loaded with entertainment, Alan
Knudtson, show committee mem
ber, said.
While the Rodeo on Saturday
and Sunday will feature the pro
fessional cowboys, the local hands
will have their chance in the Boost
er Button Show. O
One of the features, Knudtson
CSttid. will be horseback games.
These will feature a saddle horse i
race for girls with entru accepted
just before the show bcgiQp; a sled
race in which a person is pulled on
a wooden sled around the arena
by a mouirtpd rider; horseback
rescues; and others.
Novelty acts icaturing dogs will
add levity to the show while the
Roseburg High School pep band
will play cfcus type music. The
Knights of Pythias Girls Drum and
Bugle Corps will also be on hand.
This weekend will be one o the
lust appearances of the girls' group
and the high school band before
they appear at the Seattle World's
Fair.
A "grudge" chariot race will be
run around the race track. New
