Each of the members told of their exper iences in learning to swim at the "Y , much of which proved to be extremely amusing and entertain ing. On the more senous side, were comments by the moderator. who discussed "What the YMCA Can Give To You" and pointed out that since the people of Itosehurg and vicinity had given the YMCA to Roseburg, the Y was now ready to give something in return and that the Y was not just for boys and young people, but for the en joyment ana netierment oi an ages. Student Parties Given At School Halloween was observed at the Tiller-Drew Grade School with parties in each room. Decorations in appropriate motif made by stu dents were featured on the bulletin boards and primary students also had their windows decorated. Room mothers Airs. Newton AIc Cutcbeon and Atrs. Ralph Martin in the primary department furnish ed refreshments. Mrs. William Godwin also brought a cake in observance of the eighth birthday of her daughter, Billie. Airs. John Loeblein and Al r s. Walter Cook, room mothers for the third and fourth grades, had charge of refreshments for that group. Alls. Wayne Peterman had charge of serving refreshments furnish ed by the children of the fifth and sixth grades. Mrs. AlcCutcheon and Airs.
