(Masonic Temple at Canvonville.
During the meeting, preliminary
plans for a slumber party were

of Winston, and Kenneth Ray Wat
ers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodger
Waters of Olney, III., were united
marriage at 8 o clock in the
evening on the sixth day of Octo
ber in the Winston Assembly of
God Church. The Rev. William!
Garner performed the double-ring I
ceremony in the presence of 140
guests.
Candelabra and baskets of vari
egated pink and white dahlias
formed the setting for the cere
mony. Ivy and dahlias were woven
into the fence and arch.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. She was dressed in
floor-length gown of bridal lace ;
over satin. It was highlighted by :
long sleeves and a scalloped neck I
line. She wore an elbow-length veil
let off by three lace roses. She:
carried a white Bible covered with
white dahlias and pink rosebuds.
Wilma Gardner, sister of the'
hride, acted as maid of honor.

were bridesmaids. They wore street1
length dresses of pink taffeta anJ
white feather hats. Their bouquets!
were of pink and white variegated
dahlias.

Nancy Barker, who is to become
the bride of Garry Broyhill this
month, was complimented Friday
at the home of Mrs. Wilbur
Thompson in Melrose. Hostesses

Visits Nile Club
The Zuleima Woodland Nile Club
of Glendale was host Friday
evening at the Masonic Temple,
for the official visit of Sarah Pet
era of Medford, Zuleima Temple
queen. Three past queens, Obera
Dunn, I.arena MrN'air and Lucille
Rice, were also present.
Other officials in attendance in

pared by members of the Glen
dale Club, was served by mem
bers of the Glendale Bethel of
Job's Daughters. A short meeting
and visiting followed.
Canvonville Man Feted

to meet his daughter in law, Mrs.
i P. W. Bourns Jr , the former Kay
Ferguson.
On Saturday the Fergusons gave
a farewell party for Paul Gamble
who had been called into the ser
vice after planning to spend th-'
winter at the DFPA station. In

lea and Mr and Mrs T. W Bourns

Mrs. Ray Musgrove played the
traditional wedding-music and ac
companied Elmer Hethcnck as he
sang "I Love You Truly." "Whith
er Thou Goest" and "The Lord's
Prayer."
Since the bridegroom's parents
were unahle to attend the wedding,
Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Waters took
their places. Mrs. Waters wore a
gray suit with dark accessories.

dress with white accessories. Their
corsages were of light pink gladi

ception was given in the recreation
room of the church. The bride's
table was set with candles and

The bridegroom served in the
V. S. Air Force and is now em
ployed by Jeske Bros. Construc
tion Co. in Roseburg. The bride is
a recent graduate from Roseburg
High School and ts presently em
ployed by Gerretson Building Sup
ply Co.
For traveling, the new Mrs.
Waters wore a white sheath with
matching jacket. She wore a small
white hat and carried white gloves
and bag to match her slippers.
Her corsage was of dahlias and
pink rosebuds.

Halloween Party 1
Held By Rebekahs
The Glendale Rehekah Lodge
held a Halloween party recently
in connection with its regular
meeting. The hall was decorated
appropriately with cut-out witches
and black cats and with pumpkins
and corn stalks.
Members came in costume and
before the meeting began, a grand
march was used to show off the
costumes. First priie went to Mrs..
Fred Wright who was dressed as
Martha Washington.
Mrs. James Mire was appointed
to a position on the Good of the
Order Committee to replace Mrs.:
Calvin Overcast) who moved away
recently.
After the meeting. Mrs Life F.d

for the Myrtle Creek Toastmistress
