Harvard Ave. Anderson, Ragan Assume Operation Of Tire Service Co. Harry Anderson and Leo Raean have taken over the operation of the former Tire Service Co. and have renamed the business A & R Tire Co. The business is located at 2555 NE Diamond Lake Blvd.. in a large building arross from the Douglas County Shops. They have leased the grounds, building and equipment from owners Bill Upde grave and his son, A. J. Upde grave. The transaction is just now being completed but it is effective as of Sept. 1. Both Anderson and Ragan are welt known in the Roseburg area. both having been engaged in the. tire service business for the past 10 years. Anderson, a native of Kellogg, has been employed the past two years at Tire Service, and Ragan has been with the company for about a year. He has been a Rose burg resident since December 1945. The business consists of a serv ice station, full line of new Fire stone tires and retreading of tires. The latest and most up-to-date passenger tire rapping equipment was recently installed at a cost of 110,000. The new company will also make a specialty of retreading truck tires. By Leroy B.
