Russell were the former's sister-in-law, Mrs. Ezra Russell, of Wadena, IMinn., and Orval Hedges, friend who assisted in the driving on the trip from Minnesota. Russell is principal of Milo Academy. Mrs. Wayne Grimes and her new son, Lowell Warren, have re turned to their home in Milo. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Wilson and son. Jeff, of Portland spent the weekend at the home of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Bennett. Accompanying the Wil sons was Katherine Lee Asbaugh, who spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ashbaugh. Katherine is a student nurse at the Good Sa maritan Hospital in Portland. Coast Visitors Here Recent house guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ward were their daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. John McCloud, and daughters, Julie and Janet, of Cen tral Point. Visitors in the parsonage home of the Rev. Alice May Woolley were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Olson and daughters, Teresa and Trincy, of Talent and a friend, Nancy Day of Phoenix, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. Ouane Powell and daughter, Toni, are spending a few days at the home of the lat ter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard Williams of Milo. The Powells live in Auburn, Calif., and Duane is driving a log truck at Forest Hills, Calif. Tommy Moore, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Moore of Days Creek, has returned home after spending two days in Mercy Hospital in Roseburg. He had been taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Mrs. Allan Valiant of Monrovia, Calif., has returned home after visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crume. Mrs. Valiant a relative showed movies of fam ily gatherings while she was here. Conference Attended William Lewellen. superintendent Winston Couple Back From Trip By PHEBE McCUIRE Mr. and Mrs. Allan McClennan of Corvallis drove to Winston to spend the day. They were accom panied back to their home by the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Wilton, who remained for the weekend. Attend Meeting Mr. and Mrs. Ray Talbert were In Salem recently to attend the Secondary principal Association meeting held at the Marion Hotel. Mrs. Talbert visited with her sis ter, Mrs. David Ward of Salem. Talbert is Douglas High School principal. Mr. and Mrs. William Hcdrick have returned to Winston after spending a weekend in Salem, where the former, principal of the Winston School, attended the Ele mentary Principal Association meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Daniels drove to Portland recently to at tend the League of Oregon Cities meeting, returning to Winston the following night. Besides Mayor Daniels other city officials attend ing the meeting were Police Chief Bill Hale: city recorder, II. J. Kleve; and city councilman, Nor man Lee. Second class petty officer Wen dell Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Carter of Winston, left re cently after spending a 30-day leave with his parents. He is with the U. S.
