New curriculum developments In the science fields were presented with stress on learning the process es of science rather than emphasis on vocabulary learning. Teachers from Oregon, Washington, Idaho. Alaska and Canada were present, with nearly all other states having representation. Dr. Stocberg, professor of chem istry from San Francisco, college, and Dr. Francis Friedman, pro fessor of physics at Massachusetts Institute uf Technology, were among the speakers. Besides hear tng the lecturers, the teachers tintk part in panel discussions and for ums. Boston teaches mathematics and physics and Clyde instructs physi cal and general science at Myrtle Creek High School. Walters is the eighth grade science teacher in the upper elementary building at Myr tle Creek.
