This is a new idea in cooperative merchandising promotions, which the sponsors hope to expand into a future community-wide event to emphasize Roseburg as the shopping center of Douglas County and to encourage residents not to go out of the county to shop. Nohle Goettel. owner. Raid a marquee was built across the front of the building on SK Jackson St. which houses Howard's Men's t Store on the Washington Ave. cor ner and the JV Sporting Goods Store next door on the outh. A marquee was also constructed across the front of the building which houses The Style Shop in the Oak-Cass avenues block. This building also is owned by Goettel.
