Former Canyonvillagers Now Teaching In Japan Canyonville and Days Creek friends of Larry Burden, former superiendent of schools in both dis tricts, have received interesting letters from him recently. Burden is now in Misawa. Japan, at a U.S. Air Force dependents' school, reports Mrs. R. E. Proctor, correspondent. Mr. and Mrs. Burden were mar ried in the summer before leaving for Japan and plan to move into their new home this month. Mrs. Burden is teaching third grade stu dents. Her husband is principal of the kindergarten and junior-senior high school.
