Decorations, done by Mrs. John Warburton, included autumn flow ers, pumpkins, gourds and brightly-colored leaves, dames were played and refreshments were served by Mrs. Oscar Redenbo and Mrs. Carson llealy. The following teachers for the Tuesday evening classes were in troduced: Mrs. John Bell, Mrs. Jack Houston. Mrs. Ken Medford and Mrs. Dale Allred. Rhoads, state re gent of Oregon State Society Daughters of the American Revo lution, paid her official chapter visit Wednesday to the officers and members of Umpqua Chapter DAR at a luncheon meeting held at Ruth Bradley's Oak Tree Inn. Mrs. Earl Wiley was in charge of arrangements for the meeting. She gave to Mrs. Rhoads a lovely silver and blue corsage she bad made for the occasion. Following the luncheon M r s. Ralph E. Herman, regent, intro duced Mrs. L. E. Adams, vice regent, who presided for the re mainder of the afternoon. Mrs. Wiley led the flag salute and daughter's pledge. Mrs. A. A. Talbott read the president gener al's message. Mrs. Rhoads, in giving an out line of the work on the state and national level, stressed the work that has been done on Newell House and the other historic sites preserved by the DAR.
